Rheingau at a glance
Take a bus (lines 4/14) to the Wiesbaden-Biebrich mooring. The ship leaves
at 9.05 a.m. or 10.05 a.m. (depending on the season). The view of the Rhine
River and its castles and palaces from Wiesbaden to Assmanns hausen (1 1/2 hours)
invite you to relax and enjoy the scenery. After arriving at Assmannshausen,
take a short walk through city to the valley station of the chair lift. Chair
lift trip (6,50 Euro per adult) to the Jagdschloss Niederwald (Hunting Lodge).
The walk from the hunting lodge to the Niederwald Monument is 2.5 kilometers
long. From the monument, take a cable car down to Rüdes heim am Rhein. It is
a short walk from the valley station in Rüdesheim to the Brömserburg Wine Museum
(adm. fee: 5 Euro). Stroll through the famous Drosselgasse of Ridesheim to the
mooring. The ship travels back to Wiesbaden-Biebrich at 5.15 p.m./6.15 p.m.
Or travel by car via B42 (30 min.) to Rüdesheim am Rhein. On the way, you ll
pass through Eltville, where you can visit the Kurfürstliche Burg (Prince Elector
s Castle), for example. Jagdschloss Platte The halls and auditoriums as well
as the offices and conference rooms are all outfitted with the latest technology
and the walking distances between them are conveniently short. Organisers and
visitors alike also appreciate the services made available by the centre s
operator, the Rhein-Main-Hallen, which include event organising, providing presentation
equipment, construction work, supplying digital systems and IT equipment, gastronomy
and catering. On request, the Rhein- Main-Hallen team can organise the whole
event-from its initial conception, budgeting and advertising to its management
and final wrap-up.
