Ecotourism in Russia

Adventure spirit lies deep in the human nature. Curiosity about everything new and extraordinary, need for emotional experiences or just the desire to test one's abilities in various environments and circumstances stimulate people to search for adventures.

In terms of its basic principles adventure travel is closely connected with ecotourism, which is defined by The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) as «Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people.»

Lately, fishing tourism has popularity. Angling as a form of active vacation is becoming sort of lifestyle. Herethe main components of an enjoyable holiday and plea mpressions are a spectacular setting, normal loggifig and above all, interesting fishing with worthypb^ej

Our Company offers fishing trips all over Russia. However, in particular, we would like to draw your attention to the Krasnoyarsk Krai, Baikal Region, Yakutia, Khabarovsk Krai and Kamchatka.

These regions astonish by their vast spaces, as well as by thousands of rivers and lakes with clear water and fish abundance.

The rivers and lakes of the Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk Krais, Baikal Region, and Yakutia are rich in grayling, Lenok, Sig or common whitefish, the storied Taimen, alongside with pike, perch and other species.

Kamchatka rivers tempt to fish for any of the Pacific salmon: Sock-eye, Chinook weighing over 34 kg., Chum and Coho, as well as 4 types of char, Mikizha, which is also called Kamchatka rainbow, up to 80 cm long, and grayling up to 60 cm long. A day of persistent fishing can award you with over 50 various fish.

On Kamchatka coast, cod and Pacific halibut reaching 150 kg are frequent.

Traditionally we use spinning or fly rods. To preserve the fish population, we keep to the «catch-and-release» principle, especially encouraging use of barbless hooks.

Over the centuries, hunting has preserved its primitive, original basis: skills, experience and luck arethe main keys to success. It evokes fervour and requires companionship and mutual aid? People engaged in this field of business are real enthusiasts and professionals, and will always help guests eager to get their dream-trophy.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Russia's natural wealth is unparalleled; elsewhere in the world you will hardly encounter such a variety of climatic zones, fauna and flora.

Among the Russian regions specializing in hunting tourism, Kamchatka ranks first by popularity. The peninsula's unique, virgin nature together with possibilities of hunting for the Kamchatka brown bear or snow sheep attract a lot of people from all over the world.
