Volgodonsk with 185,9 thousand population is located in SouthEastern part of Rostov Region on Tsimliansk Sea shore 201 km away from Rostov City .

The history of the city is connected with the Volga – Don Channel Construction. In April, 1950 the village for construction workers started to be build and later became Volgodonsk City. After the Volga – Don Channel Construction was finished Volgodonsk became the Port of 5 Seas.

The Historical Museum, Exhibition hall, parks and cultural establishments in town are offering its visitors good chances for active vacations. Neighboring Cossack villages gives Volgodonsk special atmosphere. 

Rest areas are located along river Don shores. A lot of fresh fruits, vegetables, fantastic local wine, good hunting and fishing facilities, water sports and  horse riding makes Volgodonsk attractive for tourists and visitors.
