Kurtat investment site

It is remarkable for its dry mountainous climate and a large number of medieval architectural ensembles that attract tourists'attention. At present the territory of the Kurtat investment site houses the functioning youth regional ethnography and tourism centre "Bars" which enjoys great popularity with the residents of both this republic and neighbouring regions. The all-Russian contests in para-ski are held annually in the Kurtat gorge.

The aim of the project is to put into operation a new tourist-recreational complex, to build recreation camps (recreation centers) for (children) youth, to increase allocation places, and also to make an intensive use of numerous architectural and historical objects as excursion sights. The business-idea of the project is to build a small mountain-recreational complex «Tsariitkom», located in the Kurtat gorge, 55 km from the capital of North Ossetia, the city Vladikavkaz. The project will enable us to put into operation a new Russian mountain resort that comprises mountain ski infrastructure, buildings to live in, eateries and entertainment objects. Besides, the Dzamarash gorge is considered to be one of the most suitable directions as an entrance to the Midagrabyn glacier.
