Hot Springs & the Dead Sea

From the healing waters and mineral salts of the Dead Sea (- 400 m) to the thermal waterfalls and pools of Hammamat Ma'in (6D) and 'Afra (7D), Jordan offers the health conscious a variety of opportunities.

The Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, falls short of accommodating any life due to the extremely high content of salts and minerals. But these natural elements give the waters and the Dead Sea products their curative powers.

Seaside facilities include hotels with therapeutic clinics, restaurants, bathing, and sports centers.

The springs and baths also offer thermal treatments that leave one with a feeling of well being and wholeness. In addition, some baths, such as Hammamat Zarqa'.

Ma'in (Zara) and al-Himma (al-Mukhayba al Fawqa) offer the additional attraction of historic architecture as well as hot spring baths.
