Brno City In The Centre Of Europe... festival of fun under the Spilberk and Veveri Castles with the company Skanska is to be held for the thirteenth time in 2010. The main festival dates this year are 21 May to 6 June.

The Moravian metropolis the university, trade fair and fireworks rity Brno with its wonderful Brno Dam recreation area and other sites in the South Moravian Region are to be the traditional destination for lovers of diverse, entertaining, cultural and presentational festival events at the turn of May and June. The City of Brno beneath Spilberk and Veveri Castles and other areas of South Moravia full of fascinating landmarks will again be symbolically opening welcoming arms in the summer to all visitors looking for unforgettable experiences.

The greatest attraction is traditionally the International Firework Competition with music STAROBRNO-IGNIS BRUNENSIS (21 May-4 June).

Renowned fireworks companies from Germany, Slovakia, France and the Czech Republic will be putting on a world-class show. Visitors will have the chance of seeing a total of six fireworks performances accompanied by music in various parts of Brno. The main in-competition part of this pyrotechnics and music show is to take place on the surface of Brno Dam.

Historical trams, trolleybuses, buses, steam grains, cars and motorcycles await visitors looking for entertainment at TRANSPORT NOSTALGIA (5-6 June). A number of historical and contemporary events await visitors to the centre of Brno at FUN BENEATH THE CASTLE WALLS (4-6 June), with a concert by the Brno Philharmonic (5 June) offering popular rhythms in the open air, and at THE PEOPLE'S CASTLE FESTIVITIES (6 June) at Spilberk Castle. Visitors will also be able to see dozens of hot-air balloons at our BALLOON JAM fiesta (27-30 May).

A CHILDREN'S DAY IN THE CENTRE OF EUROPE (30 May) has been prepared for children in the centre of Brno, featuring a number of entertainments, attractions and competitions. Motor fans are sure to find what they are looking for at AUTOTEC & AUTOSALON Brno 2010 (5-10 June) The International Trade Fair of Commercial Vehicles and Passenger Cars, Parts and Repair Equipment held at Brno Exhibition Centre.

This diverse range of events certainly gives you the chance of spending many pleasant moments in Brno and South Moravia!
