Great Support And Guidance For All Sharjah

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, has always given great support and guidance to Sharjah and embarked on a tour of the emirate as part of his keenness to reach out to the people.

From coast to coast, Sheikh Sultan's tour was aimed at i gathering first hand knowledge about the living conditions of ] citizens and their distinctive needs. The Ruler opened a number of service facilities I on the tour and inaugurated four new Khor Fakkan government buildings, built at a cost of Dhs.29 million.

People took every opportunity to express their happiness over his visit.

They thanked him for his constant attention to the upgrading of regional services, thus improving their living conditions. They also hailed Sharjah’s overall development and said that the emirate’s achievements are a source Of pride for everyone.

Reflecting Sheikh Sultan’s desire to support young citizens in their careers, His Highness pas issued directives to create 150 new jobs in various government departments in the Eastern region of the emirate. Local citizens will be appointed to fill the new posts to provide them with sources of income that will enable them to set up their own lives after the completion of their education.

His Highness’ tour of Sharjah followed prestigious international visits; to the British Library in London, one of the most important research centres in the world; and to the Spanish city of Granada for the inauguration of Sharjah Cultural Days there.

In May, His Highness received in Sharjah Dr Al Abdul Aziz bin Othman Al Twaijri, Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO), for a meeting about the organisation's plans and activities, and Sharjah's preparations for being the official Capital Of Islamic Culture for 2014.
