Tourist activities in Kabardino-Balkaria have been successfully developed for more than 80 years. Apart from medical mineral waters, Tambukan lake's healing muds are widely used in Nalchik health resort. There are 28 health resorts in the resort including 4 children camps, the Central balneary, a polyclinic, a house of medicine, a year-round swimming pool, a pump room of «Nalchik» spring. A water park is being built.
