The other Riviera

The other Riviera

"The other Riviera": an appropriate way of saying that the charm of the Riviera delle Palme is not limited to the coast alone, but continues up into the hills and through the valleys of the hinterland with their natural and cultural wealth. A hinterland that we can get to know forgetting all about engines and asphalted roads, to be enjoyed more calmly on foot or on the saddle of a bike or a horse. Dozens, perhaps hundreds of hiking paths that link the towns of the coast and valleys to the mountain peaks: views as far as the eye can see, hills with gentle contours and vast forests that haven't changed for thousands of years.

In this little volume, the fifth in "the other Riviera" series, we would like to suggest eighteen hiking routes to help you get to know the wonders of the "green" nature of the Riviera delle Palme, across its land, from west to east, from the coastal hills to the innermost valleys towards the Po valley. For our readers, the pleasure of travelling on foot, by bike or on horseback. Knowing that after these, there are many more routes waiting to be discovered.
