Gazakh

The native land of the great Azerbaijani scientists, glorified military leaders, outstanding poets, actors, ashugs (bards). In 1918 the first in the republic teacher's seminary was opened in Gazakh. The area is famous for a number of architectural relics. They also visit the Alpine eylag (pasture) "the Golden throne", blue gorge Indzha ("graceful"), mountain of black rams, go deep into the magnificent tugai woods along the rivers, also ask to organize excursions into the caves of Aveydag Mountain. Archeologists have found out the camps of the ancient people, their weapon and utensils. Gazakh is well-known as the center of carpet-weaving. There is also a horse-breeding factory in Gazakh, where the hardy saddle horses "diliboz" are propagated.
