Nalychevo Nature Reserve

The reserve was created on August 18th, 1995 and was included in the UNESCO Natural World Heritage List in December of 1 996. The nature park includes the valley of the Nalychevo River flanked by active and dormant volcanoes. The pork's territory stretches as far as the Pacific coast. Throughout the area you will encounter an endless variety of land-scopes and natural formations created by active subterranean forces.

The unique and magically beautiful world of the reserve is complete with a great variety of plant and animal life, a web of azure rivers and lakes, curative and rejuvenating thermal and mineral springs, and glaciers that slowly crawl down the sides of volcanoes.

Nalychevo Reserve is an ideal place for adventure and eco-tourism. Travelers from all over the world come to this area, They are attracted by a well developed network of hiking routes that go through the vast expanses of pristine wilderness, by the opportunity to clime up to the very edge of volcanic craters, by fishing in the mountain streams, and by a chance to observe brown bears and the rare sea eagles. Bathing in the hot springs is another favorite pastime for many people.
