The city exhibition center of V.S.Rogal

In 1999 Vitaly Sergeevitch Rogal’ (1915–2005) – the honored worker of arts, the national artist of Russia, the Honorable citizen of Irkutsk, had transferred to a city the collection of works and the archive chronicles. The administration of Irkutsk decides to place the collection and archive of the artist in newly constructed, under the project of Irkutsk architect Andrey Krasilnikov, on a city money the building which became also a branch of a museum of Irkutsk city history – the city exhibition center, and to appropriate to its name of the National artist of Russia V.S.Rogal. The branch has opened the doors for visiting on October, 7th, 1999. This very day the first survey exhibition of Vitaly Sergeevitch works was opened. On three floors of the center various art, photographic exhibitions, arts and crafts exhibitions, commercial exhibitions constantly take place.
